Silk satin georgette is a satin textured georgette with a slightly lustrous surface, it is a delicate, ethereal, sheer, soft silk with a less pronounced grainy texture, thin and smooth feel, it is heavier and lustrous than chiffon, as shiny as silk satin but not as dense as silk satin, you can think of it as a thinner version of silk satin or a denser silk chiffon.

Silk satin georgette is usually available in 9, 12, 16 and 19 momme thicknesses, the most commonly used scarves are 9 momme or 12 momme. Silk satin georgette is a cheaper and thinner alternative to silk satin, if you like silk satin’s shiny and glossy but prefer cheaper price.
