The weight in international express can be divided into actual weight and volumetric weight.
The actual weight refers to the total weight of the goods including packaging. The volumetric weight refers to the volumetric weight that is calculated by converting the volume of the good into weight, due to the limitation of the carrying capacity of the transport vehicle.
Shipments whose volumetric weight is greater than the actual weight in international express delivery are often called bulky cargo. The current calculation method of the volumetric weight of international express is: volume weight = length (CM) * width (CM) * height (CM) ÷ 5000.
Irregular packaging is calculated according to the longest, widest, and highest points on each side of the goods.
Chargeable weight: compare the actual weight of the entire shipment with the volumetric weight, and take the larger one as the chargeable weight. For example: the total actual weight of wool pashmina is 60KG, the volume is: 60CM*80CM*70CM/5000=67.2, then the chargeable weight is 68KG. Because all express chargeable weight is round-off number.
